The Osheaga festival celebrated its 10 years in grand style at the end of July with an exciting lineup and an audience that came out in big numbers, as 130,000 people converged on Parc Jean-Drapeau over three days.
In 10 years, Osheaga has made a name for itself as one of the major festivals in North America and the biggest get-together in Canada. Not only has Pollstarranked the Montreal festival as the most popular musical event in Canada, but it now occupies an enviable position on the global stage.
And for 10 years, Stageline has been hard at work alongside Osheaga. In other words, we’re been there from the very beginning – something we take a lot of pride in. For Stageline this is a major event, one that calls on practically our entire range of mobile stages as it plays host to names like Florence + The Machine, Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys, Weezer, Ben Harper, Kygo and many more.
A large crowd turned up at the Scène Verte (SAM575), where Kygo did a performance. The increased load capacity (94,000 lb / 42,600 kg) of the new SAM575 made it possible to offer the audience an even more electrifying show.
SAM440
The SAM440 (43′ x 38′ / 13 m x 12 m) was perfectly suited to the limited wooded space available in creating the spectacular Scène Piknic Electronic.
For the length of a weekend, the SL260 blended in with the splendid natural setting of Parc Jean Drapeau to become the Scène des Arbres.
A second SL260 was on hand for the weekend. The Scène de la Vallée allowed festival-goers to enjoy more intimate performances and to make some happy discoveries.
Privileged festival-goers could take advantage of a choice view of the Scène Verte thanks to Smirnoff, who used a Promobile over the weekend. Come nightfall, the space created was quite simply magnificent.
Molson Canadian, principal partner of this 10th edition, also used a Promobile. It was located close by the main stage, and the company could host a generous number of clients in a comfortably laid-out space.
Allow us to introduce the “Osheagans”!
To wind up, we leave on a humorous note that will put a smile on your face. The same smile we had on ours for those three wonderful days of Osheaga’s 2015 edition.
Congratulations to the entire Evenko team on this resounding success – and let’s do it again in 2016!
