Let’s introduce them!

yvan-mironYVAN MIRON

I’ve always loved being around a stage. When I was younger (ok, young then) a guitar landed on my lap. I played it, enjoyed it got better at it and went on stage for fun.. A stage environment to me spells excitement and adventure. No matter what part of the stage you stand on there’s a great feeling to it, a high energy moment to enjoy.

Stageline is one such adventure that has me completely absorbed and the excitement is hard to shake.  The company is like a guitar. I started it, got better at it and…. you know the rest.

As President and GM I can’t be more challenged and on my toes. Years went by developing mobile stages from our pioneer days to today and from proposing the idea locally to promoting the innovative concept internationally. The passion today is still ongoing. I am proud of Stageline and its number one reputation, proud that we better understand technical and safety issues thanks to thirty years of hands on staging experience. From scratching a guitar to scratching my head, I still get to play in a great band, the Stageline Band. And the results are harmonious and can be summed up in just a few chords: easy, profitable, safe and built to last. Sustainable products from a sustainable company from sustainable me. Not a bad line, come to think of it, maybe someone could turn it into a good song.

Marius-ChouinardMARIUS CHOUINARD

Marius and Yvan go a long way back. In the late seventies and early eighties, Marius was the co-owner of a sound company hired frequently by Yvan.  He came to work with him on a project called stage 3 in 1988.  And he was hooked.  Ever since, Marius is part of the team in the design of the first prototypes, as well as in the development of all the subsequent product generations. His vast staging experience and his thorough knowledge of the product make him a specialist as far as customer’s needs are concerned.  His skills are also put to contribution in several steps of the process such as sales support, training and stage set-ups.  Marius is very easy going except when you try to expedite staging safety and installation practices.  He can then board you big time to use an expression of his favorite sport.

Pierre-Luc-RomprePIERRE-LUC ROMPRÉ

Pierre-Luc is a multi-tasker with management skills that always bring solutions to the table. He’s been with the company 9 years, oversees both sales and rentals and works out a sweat as Commercial Director for Stageline Group.  His knowledge of the product and his uncanny way of optimizing projects get everyone that is involved smoothly ahead. His industrial engineering and administration diplomas are backed by unique insight and steadfast win/win approach. Pierre-Luc is a natural communicator and rapidly enters into fruitful conversation.

tony-beresfordTONY BERESFORD

Tony joined Stageline in 2009, though he has contributed to the success of its global presence since the late 90s. Tony cut his teeth in marketing and promotions during his time at Yamaha as the UK Promotions Manager, managing tours, demonstrations and roadshows throughout the UK and Europe. In the late 90s, he moved on to the UK’s leading outdoor event and staging supplier as their Sales and Marketing Manager and subsequently his relationship with Stageline began. Tony then launched an events and logistics division and opened new premises for a prominent UK marketing and advertising agency. He managed several experiential campaigns surrounding international sporting events for blue chip brands. These campaigns took Tony across Europe and to Asia and taught him several lessons servicing clients with different cultural backgrounds. This all sounds very formal but you can count on his Stageline mates to soften some of his British edges.

Raymond-BelangerRAYMOND BÉLANGER

The reason I was able to join the Stageline menagerie back in 1991 is because they forgot to ask me for a resumé. Then within weeks it was too late cause they got hooked to my circus skills. Make it happen even if it has to be funny and make sure nothing goes wrong with the set-ups, come hell or high water. I’d had quite a bit of that from working at circuses in America and abroad, the bad weather I mean. First I worked for a Stageline division called Airtech because I had experience with big tops. One five ton inflatable hovering above ground rigged to 12 steel tower trusses and 10 crew who mostly hate inflatables. I loved it. Probably it has to do with my being a sucker for great people like the leaders I met at Stageline. They were genuine, brilliant and everything I’d ever want to become. I got showed around mobile stages once they understood I wouldn’t implode, I only just looked like I might.

So here I am after 23 years of fascination, discoveries, adventures and widespread sharing.

jonathan-doucetJONATHAN DOUCET

Machines have no secret for him! Jonathan started as a mechanical engineer at Stageline since 2003. He learned the Stageline way, first out on show sites to understand the field work and then became part of the design team. He became a very valuable player and for several years, he has been in charge of the design and engineering team. Jonathan is very proud to have supervised the design of the new SAM750 stage which received several industry awards and is considered a game changer in the industry. An accomplished engineer, he understands the technical challenges associated with mobile stages from small to large scale events, his approach is best summarized in a few words, uncompromised safety and efficiency.

alexis-delageALEXIS DELAGE

I am extremely fortunate to work in marketing. As an HEC Montreal graduate, I began my career working as a marketing coordinator for an important bar & nightclub chain.  I gained a lot of experience, and worked more than a few long nights in this job.  I then moved on to the world of advertising agencies, managing multiple projects utilizing a plethora of media channels for brand names such as Volvo, Nissan, Essilor and many others.  Almost two years ago, I joined Stageline and became a part of a passionate team of individuals who are as motivated as I am.  Fuelled by challenge and the pleasure derived from my responsibilities, I contribute to make Stageline products shine in our industry and around the world.

dane-earwakerDANE EARWAKER

In 2008, Dane joined the Stageline team as a stage technician. He spent years “on the road” gaining considerable experience and extensive product knowledge on all Stageline products, which also included training clients on stage operation and best practices. This knowledge continues to prove invaluable in his current role providing logistical and technical support to clients worldwide for their larger SAM555 and SAM750 events.
